Teaching Information
Regularly teaching writing (i.e., English 95, 101, and 306) and linguistics courses (i.e., English 311), Michael has been a part-time professor for the English Department
at California State University, San Bernardino since 1995. He also teaches English as a Second Language courses to international students under the auspices of the College of Extended
Learning at the same campus.
Professional Interests
He regularly presents at TESOL and CATESOL conferences focusing on the following: curriculum design of Intensive English courses, placement testing and English proficiency assessment, and current testing trends (i.e., Computer-Based
TOEFL). Additionally, he has developed an internationally known ESL Web Site
(http://buckhoff.topcities.com) that allows him to teach TOEFL, grammar, and writing points 24 hours a day.
Additional Information
He has been an avid distance runner for more than twenty-five years.
