I am writing this letter to support the petition of Mary  so that she can withdraw from INFO 140A -- WWW: Web Page Design. Underestimating the demands that this course would place on her schedule, Mary is having difficulties completing the course work for her other two classes. The English 311 course, the class in which she is my student, will allow her to graduate with a Liberal Studies major and a Theatre Arts minor. If she continues to take INFO 140A, she will not be able to spend enough time outside of class to satisfactorily complete the course requirements for my class. In addition to her rigorous academic schedule, Mary has family and clerical demands which also require her undivided attention. I hope that you will take these facts into consideration as you consider granting her a petition.
