If you miss an answer, study the sentence and the answers
very carefully.
Use a grammar book to study these subjects in more depth if
you find that you are making many mistakes.
Consult your ESL/EFL teacher if possible and ask
him/her to explain the grammar problem to you.
Finally, try to speak English as much as
possible.
That way you can use the intuitive approach to answering
TOEFL grammar questions. That means that you choose which answer sounds
best. Because of time constraints, this is the best strategy to use when
you take a TOEFL test.
The other strategy that you will use is the analytical
approach to answering the grammar questions. This means that you analyze
the basic structure of the sentence, usually by first identifying the
subject and the verb and how the rest of the sentence is connected to those
basic elements. But this strategy is time consuming and should only be
used on very difficult TOEFL grammar questions.
